Wendy Alvarez, RDHAP, RDH, BSDH, RDA, BFAID
Wendy Alvarez is a Registered Dental Hygienist and Registered Dental Hygienist in Alternative Practice with a passion for whole-body wellness and biological dentistry. Since becoming an RDH in 2019, Wendy has focused her career on providing gentle, patient-centered care that supports not only oral health, but overall health and overall well-being.
With a background as a Registered Dental Assistant since 2009, Wendy brings years of clinical experience, strong attention to detail, and a deep understanding of comprehensive dental care. In addition to her clinical work, Wendy is also a professor at West Los Angeles College and UCLA, where she enjoys educating and mentoring future dental professionals.
Her approach emphasizes prevention, education, and the important connection between oral health and systemic health. Wendy’s holistic hygiene philosophy includes supporting the body’s natural healing process, reducing toxic burden, and promoting a healthy oral microbiome. She enjoys educating patients on the importance of gum health, nutrition, airway awareness, safe dental materials, and lifestyle habits that contribute to long-term wellness.
Outside of dentistry, Wendy is a proud mom of two amazing kiddos. She loves spending quality time with them exploring museums, attending musicals, visiting amusement parks, traveling, and discovering great places to eat. As a big foodie and photography lover, Wendy enjoys capturing candid moments and documenting the memories she creates with her family.
Bilingual in English and Spanish, Wendy is known for her warm personality, gentle touch, and compassionate care. She is dedicated to creating a positive experience for every patient while helping them achieve a healthier smile from a whole-body perspective.
Maria, Dental Assistant
At LA Holistic Dentistry, Maria brings a lifelong passion for dental care. She began her career in dentistry over 23 years ago as a sterilizer and, through dedication, continuous training, and hard work, grew into her role as a dental assistant. Maria has embraced both front and back office roles, ensuring patients feel cared for every step of the way. What she enjoys most about dental assisting is being part of each patient’s dental care journey and helping them feel comfortable, relaxed, and supported. Outside of work, Maria is a proud mother of five who enjoys playing volleyball with her children, taking them to their sports activities, and watching them grow. This balance reminds her daily of the importance of care, both at home and in the office.
Zaira “Zee”, Dental Assistant
Zee is a dedicated Dental Assistant with 8 years of experience in the dental field. Known for her friendly personality and compassionate care, Zee is passionate about helping patients feel comfortable, informed, and confident throughout their dental journey. Being bilingual allows her to connect with and support a diverse range of patients, ensuring they feel understood and educated during every visit. Outside of the office, Zee enjoys attending concerts and sporting events, traveling, and exploring museums whenever she gets the chance.
Tida, Front Office
Tida has been part of the dental field since 2018, beginning her career as a Registered Dental Assistant. While her focus has not been primarily on chairside assisting, she has developed a strong knowledge of dental procedures and overall patient care through her background in holistic, biological, and other specialty dental practices. She enjoys building genuine connections with patients and helping them feel cared for. Beyond the office, her most cherished title is Mom. She also enjoys being outdoors with nature- especially by the ocean, traveling, and discovering new foods and local restaurants.
